Editorial policy

Banco.guru editorial policy: independence, accuracy and corrections

These are the rules we use to decide what to publish, how we verify information, how we keep content separate from any commercial interest and how we correct errors.

In short

At Banco.guru usefulness to the reader comes first: independent, accurate, sourced educational content, kept separate from any commercial interest and corrected when needed.

Our principles

What guides our editorial decisions?

Independence

No financial institution decides what we publish or how we explain it.

Accuracy

Rules, rates and figures carry an official source. If we can’t verify a figure, we don’t use it.

Clarity

Plain language, examples and direct answers, with no promises of returns.

Responsibility

We don’t give personalized advice, and we remind readers to confirm every case with an authorized institution.

Commercial separation

Any sponsored content or commercial link will be clearly labeled.

Correction

We acknowledge and correct errors transparently.

In practice

How do we apply this policy?

Tap each tab to see the details.

Choosing topics

  • We prioritize frequent questions and decisions that affect your wallet.
  • Each page answers one main intent, to avoid repetition and confusion.
  • We separate universal content from content that depends on a country.

Sources and data

  • Official sources first: regulators, central banks, tax authorities and statistics agencies.
  • Figures that change are presented with their source, pointing to the current version.
  • Numerical examples are labeled as examples. We explain this in our methodology.

Corrections

  • Anyone can report an error to hola@banco.guru.
  • We check the report against the official source.
  • If there is an error, we correct the page and update its review date.

Commercial relationships

  • Educational content is not for sale.
  • If there is sponsored content or commercial links, they are visibly identified.
  • A commercial relationship never changes an explanation or a calculation.

Data, examples and results are for reference only and are not real; they depend on the country, the financial institution, taxes and current laws. Always confirm your case with an authorized financial institution before deciding.
